Have you ever thought that despite of having a good resume, why you fail to get a good job? Well the problem lies with you and not the resume. Finally it’s all about how you present yourself in the interview. Following are some of the essential tips:
Prepare well
Do your homework properly. Plan and rehearse your resume. Prepare for the most common questions like “Tell me about yourself”, “Your strengths and weaknesses”, “Why should we hire you?” and so on.
Mannerism
It’s very important to greet the interviewer with a smile. We almost forget to greet because of tension and stress. Little things make a difference.
Sell yourself
An interview is an opportunity to tell how suitable you are for the job. So market yourself.
Be calm
Most of the candidates don’t get a job because they are overstressed. Be calm and answer the question. It’s OK if you can’t answer all the questions.
Prepare for aptitude tests
It’s important to confirm whether the interview includes aptitude test and group discussion in order to prepare before hand.
Communicate clearly
Develop good communication skills. Just having knowledge is not sufficient but conveying it through proper channel makes sense.
Know the background
It’s essential to know the company details in and out. Study the website thoroughly.
