7 Tips to make a good presentation

How do you feel when you have to give a presentation? Are you nervous? Well effective presentations are a mixture of a variety of elements. Following are some of the important tips to make a good presentation:

Greet your audience

Do greet your audience with a smile before you start.

Dress smartly

Don’t let you appearance distract from what you are saying. Dress neatly.

Maintain an eye contact

Look at everyone in the audience from time to time instead of looking at the presentation slides or notes.

Posture

Body language plays an important role. Don’t hunch up and shuffle your feet. Be confident and enthusiastic.

Speak clearly

Don’t speak too quickly. Give time to the audience to absorb your points.

Involve your audience

Don’t just keep on talking but involve the audience by asking questions.

Practice

If you have problems of public speaking then practice in front of the mirror. You can record your presentation and keep a track of your strengths and weaknesses.

Remember folks. It’s normal to get nervous but preparation and practice will surely reduce your anxiety.

Have you heard of a site called Present.me? It allows you to create online presentations with video and slides. It's great for practising your presentation skills as well.
