What is hotel management?
This is the most basic question. You need to be simple. Hotel management refers to managerial techniques in the field of hospitality. This may include hospital administration, marketing, housekeeping, food and beverage management and so on.
What are skills required to be a good hotel manager?
Prepare this answer well as the interviewer may look for the qualities that you are referring to. In my opinion a hotel manager requires good communication skills, interpersonal skills, people skills, confidence, organizational skills, punctuality and patience.

Now that’s tricky. Put it straight that for me responsibility and work environment goes hand in hand. If work environment is good enough then work pressure doesn’t matter much. I am comfortable with working on my own as well as in teams. I feel this could be an ideal job. I am ready to learn new things.
How will you handle angry and cranky customers?
This is situation oriented question. You need to keep presence of mind while answering such question. Don’t get panic. You can start by saying that this is a part of my job. I am patient and clam and thus will make an effort to handle them carefully by managing their grievances. The best thing would be to speak someone from the industry about this question.
Why you want to join this sector?
You can touch upon this answer by saying how you and your personality are well suited for this sector. Talk about the basic traits which you have like patience, tolerance, ability to work under pressure, pleasing personality and so on.
Remember friends. This industry is a good place where you are taught discipline, multi tasking, etiquettes and to deliver more than your expectations. But always keep a smile on your face because 'Customer is next to God'.
