You had a rigorous course work, projects, research, workshops, the whole gamut in engineering. But the real test comes at the end of the course which is ‘campus placements’. Following are some of the useful tips to gear up for the IT campus placements:
Academic grades
The placement criteria for any IT companies mandate 60-70% aggregate marks. Few companies also expect a good track record from school. So maintain good grades.
General Aptitude
Many companies take an aptitude test which measures verbal ability, mathematical ability and reasoning ability. In addition, these tests are speed tests. So first identify your grey areas and work efficiently on it.
Technical Aptitude
Technical round identifies whether you can work in IT sector or not. Before the placement, prepare well on your basic technical knowledge, your interest in specialization, talk to the professors. Don’t just mug up. Do a proper research.
Good communication skills
Having good communication skills is must to crack an interview. It’s enough that you are able to communicate your ideas effectively.
Confidence
Above all, you need to have a confidence that you would be placed. Think positive and talk positive.
