International Maritime Institute

International Maritime Institute offers B Tech in Marine Engineering which is a 4-year course approved by AICTE and duly recognised and approved by the Directorate General of Shipping. After successful completion of the course a Degree is awarded by U.P. Technical University, Lucknow (U.P. Tech).

Admission Criteria :

Eligibility: 10+2 with PCM 60% aggregate marks from recognised Boards/Universities. Minimum 50% marks in English at 10+2 or 10th level is a must. Fluency in written and spoken English.

Age: Not exceeding 25 years of age on the date of commencement of training.

Medical Fitness: Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, with or without external aids. Maximum power permitted ± 2.5. No colour blindness. All candidates have to pass complete medical examination and mandatory tests prior to joining.

Selection Procedure: Those who wish to join through IMU selection must clear the IMU-CET. After counselling based on the merit in IMU-CET, the university will allocate the institute.

For management & vacant seats after IMU admissions :
IMI undertakes Aptitude, IQ, Reasoning and Psychometric tests followed by an interview. Direct sponsorship by shipping companies are also accepted. The final selection and admissions are subject to the guidelines by IMU.
