International Maritime Institute

Post Graduate Diploma in Marine Engineering is a 12 months course offered to existing graduates in Mechanical Engineering who want to change their career path to marine Engineering.

Admission Criteria :

Eligibility: BE or B Tech (Mechanical or Naval Arch) from AICTE approved college/university with minimum 60% marks and at least 50% in English in either SSC or HSC. Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

Age: Not exceeding 28 years on the date of commencement of training.

Medical Fitness: Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, with or without external aids. Maximum power permitted ± 2.5. No colour blindness.
All candidates have to pass complete medical examination and mandatory tests prior to joining IMI.

Selection Procedure :
IMI undertakes Aptitude, IQ, Reasoning and Psychometric tests followed by an interview. Direct sponsorship by shipping companies is also accepted.
