Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

The four-semester, two-year, full-time PGDM program is split into four phases: Basic, Consolidation, Advanced and Concentration. Each phase is of one semester and closes with an end-term examination. The Basic phase begins with a management perspective from ground-up by exposing students to the various dimensions of business & organizational environments and enables them get a feel of the various functional areas of management. This is also a phase in which conventional bugbears relating to statistics and mathematics are carefully removed. The Consolidation phase categorically aims at training students in the skills of using various tools, techniques and case studies that are required to solve general problems encountered in various functional areas of management. By the end of this phase, a student should be able to appreciate the general dynamics of problems and situations in differing environmental and organizational settings and develop an approach towards prognosis and problem- shooting. This phase culminates with an eight-week summer-internship in any large organization of repute. The Advanced phase in the third semester concentrates on developing special, function specific competencies in areas of Marketing, International Business, Human Resources Management, Finance and Information Technology. Simultaneously, papers like Management Information Systems and TQM are taught to students irrespective of their area of specialization. By the end of the advanced phase, a student is almost ready for an entry-level position with any large organization. Graduating students spend the final six months of the program in the Concentration phase, learning about the most advanced and complex aspects of their respective functional areas. Besides case studies and class assignments, each of these four phases is generously interspersed with live-projects from industries and businesses in varied sectors. The objective is to reduce the induction time and costs for companies by providing them management graduates who are not only technically and psychologically ready for entry-level responsibilities, but also alert and spruced up for embracing the challenges of the future.

Admission Criteria :

The selection procedure at NIILM-CMS is highly structured and objective. It is geared towards assessing the applicants' on requisite attitudes, drive and learning abilities to put him / her up through two years of rigorous learning. Three Tier Selection Process :
Tier 1 : Screening applicants on the basis of their CAT*/ MAT/XAT/ATMA/GMAT Scores.
Tier 2 : Candidates who qualify in the above tests with scores meeting NIILM-CMS standards are called for Group Discussions.
Tier 3 : Candidates finally appear for the personal interview with the Admission Board.

Final Selection:
The provisionally selected candidates shall be communicated of their final selection within 7 days of GD and Interviews . The selected candidates must pay the registration amount in order to book their seat within 7 days and their first installment of the fee within next fifteen days. The seats shall be offered to selected candidates on first come first serve basis.
