B.M.S. College for Women is a premier institution established on 1st June 1964 in the busy location of South Bangalore. The College caters to the multi-dimensional needs of women.
The college, initially, started with 34 students at the Pre University level. In 1966, B.A. and B.Sc. degree courses were introduced. In succeeding years, depending on the needs of the society, B.Com and B.B.M.courses were also introduced
Later in 1986 and 1987, new combinations with Electronics, Computer Science and Microbiology were introduced at degree level. During 1990 – 1991, the college celebrated its Silver Jubilee and honoured some of the illustrious students.
In 1995, vocational courses in Biotechnology and Insurance were introduced with the assistance of UGC, to shape the career of women who opted for these courses. In 1999, BCA with the semester system was introduced.
In all, 16 programmes are provided at the undergraduate level and the students are free to choose any programme of their choice. The college has grown in strength over the years. In a span of four decades, the students strength has increased from a small strength of 34 during 1964 to over 3000 students at present.
A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed by the faculty in this college in order to impart knowledge and skills to students.

I am doing my b com. Next I am planning to do MBA so whether to join a big college will be good or I can join in any normal college because I think that in big college I get more skills as compared to normal colleges. Is it a right thought?
