Madras Christian College is a liberal arts and science institute which was founded as a school in 1837 in Madras, making it the oldest institutes in India. The institution was built by Scottish missionaries.
Madras Christian College is ranked among the top 10 liberal arts and science colleges in India. The college offers over 30 courses at an undergraduate and postgraduate level in Arts, Sciences, Commerce and Professional courses. Some of the more niche courses include Musicology, Industrial Fish and Fisheries. The institute also offers M Phil and PhD courses.
The college is known as much for its academic standing and leadership building as it is for social commitment. Madras Christian College has over 5000 students (or ladies and gentlemen as they are traditionally called) and over 220 faculty members serving in 31 departments.
The 365-acre campus has a diverse range of plants and deer. The campus has its own lake and there are rare species that are found. There is a working farm and a lot of outdoor activities for students on campus.

I am doing my b com. Next I am planning to do MBA so whether to join a big college will be good or I can join in any normal college because I think that in big college I get more skills as compared to normal colleges. Is it a right thought?

My college offers Industrial fish and fisheries courses.. Having its own lake at the campus with rare species of fishes, it helps in the study of fish..
