IMM was set up in 1967 and registered as a non-profit society on August 14, 1969.
The institute aims to spread awareness in marketing and management as a scientific discipline.
IMM has been accepting candidates for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) through Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by IIMs, Management Aptitude Test (MAT) conducted by AIMA and ATMA conducted by AIMS.
IMM has a large number of highly qualified core faculty, visiting faculty and international faculty.
IMM is the first Institution in the country which has introduced areas of specialization viz. Agricultural Marketing, Industrial Marketing, Services Marketing and Social Marketing.
IMM is the only body in India affiliated to the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation (APMF) and the World Marketing Association (WMA). The institute has hosted 37 World Marketing Congresses, and thus put India on the marketing map of the World.
IMM is an institute where commercial counselors of foreign embassies have enrolled themselves as students.
The institute offers two full-time PGDM courses and three part-time courses in the area of Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Human Resources. All courses are AICTE approved.

I recommend this college for everyone who wants to do PGDM. The faculty is great and projects they are awesome coz you get practical knowledge which can help in your career.
