Description

The Institute of Technology and Marine Engineering (ITME) was established in 2000 on the outskirts of Kolkata.

The Ambuja Neotia Group took over ITME in 2008 as part of its foray in technological engineering. The institute has made rapid advances since the Ambuja Neotia Group took over in terms of infrastructure and campus facilities.

ITME has a 32-acre, wi-fi enabled campus. The campus has four main blocks. Plans are underway for a 10,000-sq foot hall to host events such as drama, quizzes, workshops and conferences.

The campus also has a Ship-in Campus which is built to meet international standards. The Ship-in Campus has equipment from original ship and engine parts. There are over 50 laboratories which are of international standards. The computer labs have over 400 high-end machines. There is also a language lab where students improve their communication skills.

The library stocks over 25000 books. It is also one of the few libraries in India to have EDUSAT, a satellite for education that enables students to view online lectures conducted by West Bengal University of Technology.

Apart from academics, ITME also has playgrounds where students can play football and cricket. There is also a swimming pool.

ITME has a world-class gym where yoga and meditation sessions are held. There is a department store, ATM, laundry service and cafeteria on campus.

We have a wonderful campus here

I'm a student of Information Technology of 2010-14. My course is good, but not mind blowing. It follows WBUT syllabus. Faculties are average. We have a good hostel facilities, good quality of food compared to other colleges. Nice library system along with digital library, video lectures from NPTEL(IIT lectures). Over all our college is pretty good, it has vast beautiful campus. Only draw back is the faculty which is upgrading day by day.
