Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS) is considered to be one of the top 10 business schools in India.
The institute was founded in 1965 in association with the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University.
Entry into JBIMS is difficult. The institute only takes the top 120 students from over 1 lakh applications each year. Entry is through an entrance exam. The institute offers Masters and PhD degree programs in Management.
An important factor that sets JBIMS apart is its faculty with industry expertise. This means that students not only develop a theoretical framework but also get an insight into developments on the corporate front. Students take part in a live corporate project as part of their course.
The infrastructure is exceptional. The campus is wi-fi enabled. Classrooms can accommodate up to 250 students and have the latest audio-visual aids. The library has over 65000 titles. There is also a computer lab with the latest software.
Besides the regular curriculum, the students are also involved in co-curricular activities such as inter-business school competitions, research projects conducted by the institute and are constantly interacting with the industry, thus strengthening their practical orientation and developing themselves into future business managers.
The institute has a very strong placement committee with close links to industry. The cell organises summer and final placements.
