Description

SDM College of Ayurveda and Hospital, Udupi was established in 1958 to revive Ayurveda as a modern science.

It is an institution that represents the best of traditional knowledge and contemporary excellence, managed by SDME Society ®, Ujire.

Padmabhooshana Dr.D.Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala and the President of S.D.M.

Ever since 50 years of inception, the Institution has rendered Yeomen Service to the public by providing health care, as well as to the students a qualitative value based ayurvedic education. The period from 1st July 2007 – 2008 has been recognized as Golden Jubilee Year.

The Institution provides Ayurvedic education at Graduate and Post graduate levels which are regulated by the statutory Apex body Central Council for Indian Medicine (C.C.I.M.) affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore.

The college’s infrastructure is well furnished with all modern facilities. All labs are equipped with latest equipments. All the classrooms of the college are well furnished. The college has a well-stocked library.

A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to students at this institute.
