Arvind Kejriwal: 5 facts about the Founder of the AAP

Arvind Kejriwal is the man behind the Aam Aadmi Party, here are 5 facts about the man trying to make the country we lve in a better place.

1. Kejriwal was born on August 16, 1968 in Hisar, Haryana. His wife, Snita used to work in the IRS. He has 2 kids and they stay in Ghaziabad.

2. Kejriwal is a vegetarian and a regularly practices vipasana.

3. Kejriwal did his mechanical engineering from the prestigious IIT Kharagpur.

4. After finishing with education, Kejriwal worked for Tata Steel for a long time. After that he appeared for the Civil Service Examination. To effectively utilize the time till the results were declared, he went to Kolkata and worked with Mother Teresa, Ramakrishna Mission and Nehru Yuva Kendra. He was selected into the IRS once the results were declared.

In 2006 he resigned as Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.

5. Unknown to many, Kejriwal along with others had started a group called Parivartan, which dealt in helping people with their income tax problems. They managed to solve 800 cases successfully in a period of only 18 months.

Soon he highlighted the Right to Information Act and hence started his fight against corruption.
