IIM-A triumphs in numbers game

IIM-Ahmedabad (IIM-A) has Rs. 6.83 crore of extra funds even after spending over a crore on its golden jubilee celebrations and also a 60 per cent augmentation in pension liability.
The additional income is a major milestone for IIM-A, which had decided against asking for funds from the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development in 2003.
IIM-A managed to collect Rs. 61.59 crore in the form of fees and got Rs. 51.22 crore from their management developemt programmes nd projects.
IIM-A’s golden jubilee celebrations included old student reunions, publishing of a variety of management books and four international conferences. IIM has been taking the assistance of it’s old students and has plans to enter corporate alliances. They had also managed to raise Rs 38 crore with the aid of former students and have plans for the future also.
