Editorial Team38|0Last Updated:09:00 am, June 17, 2012
IIM- Calcutta has come up with a proposal of getting each of its 450 student an alumnus mentor. The alumnus mentor will provide guidance, help in preparing the case studies and research programmes.
The proposal is yet to be formalised and will be of immense benefit to the students. If the proposal is approved it will soon be implemented.
Other institutes which have alumnus as a mentor include ISB (Indian School of Business) and Indian Institute of Management (IIM-Lucknow).
The Indian School of Business is an internationally top-ranked institution (B-school) that provides an MBA level post graduate programme in management.
The students can change their mentors if they are not satisfied. The idea to have alumnus was proposed after various discussions and feedback from the management students.
