IIM Ranchi admits 42 female students

IIM Ranchi has admitted 42 female students for its PGDM and PGDHRM programmes for 2012-2013.
The instituition has made this move in order to ensure gender diversity, as last year there were no girl candates enrolled in the IIM Ranchi management programmes.
According to reports, the director of the institute has said that they would keep making efforts to balance the gender ratioio of the college. He said that they would be very encouraging towards female candidates joining their courses and hoped that the trend of this year shall continue in the years to come also.
This year a total of 162 students were admitted in IIM Ranchi for its two-year programmes-PGDM and PGDHRM.
