Union minister for human resource development, Kapil Sibal has suggested that instead of diplomas, degrees will be issued to all the students graduating from the Indian Institutes of Management. The meeting was held at IIM- Lucknow.
The meeting was held between HRD minister Kapil Sibal and senior officials of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) met chairpersons and directors of all the IIMs
Apparently the decision has been taken as the IIM pass outs as the students face difficulties in pursuing further education in foreign countries due to the management diplomas awarded to them.
This decision will help the IIM graduates to increase their acceptability and get employment abroad.
The formal decision in this regard is yet to be taken.
