IIT-JEE 2012 results declared

IIT-JEE 2012 results were declared on Friday morning (May 18). The top score this year at the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology is 385 out of 401 marks.
According to reports, the topper of IIT-JEE 2012 is from Delhi. More than 5.6 lakh students had appeared for the IIT-JEE across 1,067 centres.
Arpit Aggarwal from Delhi has topped the prestigious exam this year. Bijoy Kocjhar from Chandigarh and Nishant Kaushik from Bhilai are 2nd and 3rd respectively.
IIT JEE is required for entry to undergraduate engineering programs at all IITs, NITs and ISM Dhanbad.

IIT JEE 2012 was held on April 8.
This may be the last year that IIT JEE is held. The HRD Ministry, along with IIT JEE director, has agreed to hold a single common entrance test for engineering colleges from 2013.
