IIT-JEE 2013: IIT Council decision hasty

The IIT Council's move to give 20 percent weightage to Class 12 board marks is a hasty decision, Anand Kumar, founder of 'Super 30', which provides free coaching to Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) aspirants, said .
"This decision will go against poor students, who do not get the opportunity to study in elite schools," he said here.
"Even Class 12 results are mired in controversy due to use of unfair means in examinations and manipulation to ensure good results," said Kumar, who coaches students from poor families to crack the IIT entrance test.
He said the decision had come as a dampener for students preparing for IIT-JEE.
"Suddenly they realise that school results are also important. The IIT Council should have implemented it from 2014 at least to give the students time," he said.

Just 9-10 months left for the entrance exams , if all the higher council members start making new reforms during this vital time then dere will b a huge gap between da students and the members. In ISC and most other boards the class 12 syllabus is only considered. If we r told to concentrate on board exams then how shall we prepare the cls 11 syllabus for JEE ? We would nt have any problem if the reforms were finalised 18 months before the jee exams. PLZ make it 2014 . The higher authority cant play with students' future and decide their fate in a short span of time...................
Not only Kapil Sibal but IIT professors are also super stupids and now students will move towards suicide and IIT council will be responsible for this. Now a students have to do good in class XII, JEE mains and JEE advance and finally it would be difficult to handle the pressure and now suicide rates will increase sharply which is also on higher side. Basically IIT professors are jealous from coaching because most of them are not sufficient qualified to make their lectures more and more interesting. I know about a no. of IIT professors which are incompetent to teach students and they hate from coaching. Save IITs and don't include the marks of Class XII boards and already students are world class but professors are third class and after this change students would be also 3 rd class.
