Maharashtra has decided to participate in the JEE from 2014. Hence, for the next year, admission to state colleges will be done through the older format of MHT-CET. Maharashtra would conduct their own examination in 2013.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) CBSE will hold Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in two parts from 2013.

Candidates can download the forms from JEE-Main website www.jeemain-edu.in

Candidates should be in the top 20 percentile categories in their respective Boards/Qualifying Examinations.

The top 1.5 lakh candidates (including all categories) based on performance in JEE Main will qualify to appear in the JEE Advanced examination.

Important dates for IIT-JEE 2013

The JEE-Main Offline Exam: April 7, 2013.

Online exam: April 8 to 30, 2013.

The JEE-Advanced - Offline exam: June 2, 2013.

The JEE-Main examination will also be conducted in regional languages of the state. JEE-Advanced will be conducted in English/Hindi medium only.

Why is everyone conducting their own test? It will make it harder for the students and give coaching centres a chance to make more money :(
