IIT Kharagpur-changes in admissions 2012

Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur has invited applications for its Biotech Ph.D. Programme (regular and sponsored categories) for all disciplines namely of Engineering & Technology, Science, Architecture & Regional Planning, Humanities & Social Sciences, Law and Management. Admission to reserved-category candidates will be done as per Government of India notification.

The fee for the aplication forms and admissions have been changed to Rs. 500/- for General/OBC and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates. Women candidates are exempted from any application fee.

Online application forms will be available from March 12, 2012.

New last date for applying online is April 9, 2012.

New test and interview dates (for short listed candidates) May 28-30, 2012 (tentative)

Joining date for selected candidates July 24, 2012.

IS IT COMPULSORY TO CRACK IIT AND THEN TAKE ADMISSION IN IIT KHARAGPUR...???<br /> CAN WE TAKE DIRECT ADMISSION..???
