IITJEE 2013: IIT-Bombay senate meet postponed

The Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay (IIT-B) senate meet regarding IIT-JEE 2013 Common Entrance Test (CET) has been postponed to mid-July.

The meeting was to be held on July 5 to discuss the new IIT-JEE 2013 (CET). The meeting was apparently postponed as the minutes of the June 27 IIT council meeting were not out.

It is expected that the faculty members of Indian Institute of Technology will recommended relaxing the cut-offs for board scores for 2013.

Recently, the National Institute of Technology (NITs) accepted the controversial common entrance test (CET) for admission to it's undergraduate programmes from 2013.

The new format will give 40 per cent weight age to board results and 60 per cent weightage to the main exam for preparing the merit list.

Earlier the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and the Union government had agreed to the new format of the IIT entrance examination which was decided at a meeting between the HRD ministry and Joint Admission Board (JAB).

please apply this if u want to from 2014.......or atleast for those who are preparing for IIT 2013 and have passed boards in 2012 [with the rule of scoring atleast 60% in boards] , don't apply this condition .........because it is their last chance and now when they gave boards in 2012,,,,,,,they had a perception of scoring only 60% in boards.......and may be if they didn't clear JEE so they want to give in 2013 for their second and last chance........please please ....excuse those who have their second attempt in 2013.....as I AM SUFFERING WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.........I REQUEST YOU SIR.......
