IITs, IISc to help graduates in academics

Engineering students now have help to get better insight into subjects.  Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will now provide e-learning certification courses for basic science and engineering students.

This measure has been taken to improve the employability criteria of students. The students will be given demos which will aid in the learning process.

Some of the courses being considered for certification include-

Programming

Algorithm and data structures in computer science and basics of electronics

Communication engineering

Digital circuits and VLSI

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) offers 260 courses in engineering, science and humanities.

Objective of NPTEL program

The main objective of NPTEL program is to enhance the quality of engineering education in the country by developing curriculum based video and web courses. This is being carried out by IITs (Seven), IISc Bangalore and other premier institutions as a collaborative project.
