Karnataka (DTE) diploma results 2012 declared

Karnataka Department of Technical Education (DTE) diploma results of exams have been declared. Students can check the results HERE.
The diploma exams were held in April/May.
How to check the results:
Students can check the Diploma Results 2012 on http://dte.kar.nic.in/
Students are required to enter their hall ticket number and the semester.
The results were published on July 9th evening. Approximately one lakh students appeared for the examination.
About Directorate of Technical Education
The Directorate of Technical Education was earlier under the control of the Department of Public Instruction till 1959.
Because of increase in number of technical institutions particularly in the later half of the fifties, it was felt necessary to form an independent Department of Technical Education with the objective of bringing about the perfect coordination of technical education institution under one governing and monitoring body. This was felt necessary especially in the areas of maintaining standards in syllabi, examination etc.
The Directorate of Technical Education came into existence as a separate Department in 1959.
