Kerala SSLC 2012: Analysis of results

Results of Kerala’s Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) have revealed an all-time high pass rate.

There was a 93.64 percent pass rate in 2012. Out of the 4,69,919 students sitting for the exam, 6995 got an A plus grade for all subjects.

The results were declared on April 26 at 11 am. Students from the Kannur revenue district had the highest pass rate at 96.93, while Palakkad education district had the lowest pass rate at 85.04 percent. Kozhikode had the highest number of students scoring A plus grades.

There were 711 schools that were registered 100 percent pass rates. This is an increase of 134 schools compared to 2011.  

Students who did not get a D plus grade can appear for a supplementary exam from May 14-18. Those candidates who were not able to appear for the SSLC 2012 due to health or family reasons are also eligible to appear for the supplementary exam. All such students will require to submit an application, fees required and a printout of their grades to their headmaster by 4 pm on May 3, 2012.

Certificates for students are scheduled to reach the Education Department offices by May 15. They will then be distributed to candidates.
