Madras Medical College: Gold medallist aspires to build a hospital

M. Harshavardhan(23) from Madras Medical College and winner of 12 gold medals aspires to build a hospital.

Harshavardhan desires to join King Edward Memorial Hospital or to any other well known hospital. He hopes to get a fellowship in an internationally recognised hospital and wants to return to India and build a hospital.

He has also won the coveted Johnstone Medal which is awarded to the best outgoing student of Madras Medical College.

 Harshavardhan  is currently preparing for an M.D in Radiology and wants to take up Intervention Radiology as a career. 

According to a report in The Hindu, Harshavardhan is elated that he has won most of his medals by participating in competitive examinations. Harshavardhan believes that competitive examinations require higher diagnostic skills.
