Maharashtra SSC exam results 2012: Girls outshine boys

The girls outperformed boys in the senior secondary (SSC) in class 10th examination of Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), Students can check the results HERE
The sucess rate of girls was an impressive 82.96 percent as compared to the 79.90 pass percentage of the boys.
About 14 lakh candidates appeared in the class 10th examination from the state board this year, out of which over 12 lakh managed to clear the Maharashtra State Board for Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) exam.
The overall pass percentage stood at 81.32 percent this year.
The exam was conducted in Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Nasik, Latur and Konkan division.
Pass percentage of various districts:
Konkan division: 93.24
Pune division: 90.71
Kolhapur:89.17 percent
Mumbai :88.94.
Latur division: 69.01.
Gender wise pass percentage performance:
Pune
Girls : 91.65
Boys: 89.92
Kolhapur
Girls: 90.11
Boys:88.41
Mumbai division
Girls: 89.79
Boys: 88.16
