Management quota seats for MBBS being sold for Rs 1 crore

The management quota seat for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is being sold for Rs 40 lakh to Rs Rs 1 crore at private colleges.

Apparently, the rate for seats under management quota depends on the college and where it is located.

The government has now decided to implement online admissions to avoid these malpractices. However, the parents and students are worried as they have paid huge sum of money for the Management quota seats.

According to college officials that fixing the fees and allotting seats under management quota is their decision.

Andhra Pradesh has about 24 private medical colleges with a combined 2,000 seats in the management quota.
