The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata has taken up the project of establishing a medical college named “College of Medicine & J.N.M.Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences” at Kalyani under the ownership and administrative control of the university in the year 2009.

Calcutta National Medical College

 

Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons Started by Dr.Subodh Kumar Mallick in 1907 at 191 Bow Bazar Street. Subsequently changed to National Medical College of India ,  which later became Calcutta Medical College.

North Bengal Medical College

 

The library of the institute is well stored with more than 5000 books consisting of text books, reference books, manual, hand books, and technical national and international journals from the respective subjects apart from popular science magazines, and newspaper

R G Kar Medical College and Hospital

 

In 1886, Calcutta Medical School came into existence. Later, it merged with another nationalist organization' College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bengal ' and the Belgachia Medical College ' came into being in 1916.
