Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for diploma/B Tech/BE. Postgraduate requires relevant bachelor’s degree course.
Entrance exam: Yes – IIT-JEE, AIEEE etc. States and institutes may have their own exams. There are plans of introducing a common engineering test from 2013. Some postgraduate engineering courses may require GATE.
