The UPSC 2013 exam will only be conducted in English and Hindi. The decision to conduct the exam in English, Hindi has upset the students of regional language.
The aspirants from the other languages feel that they will lose out.
The official sources said that there should be a minimum of 25 students opting for a particular medium in the main examinations if the evaluation is to be done for that particular regional language.
UPSC will be introducing new papers and give more weightage to general studies. According to official sources this measure will help in ensuring a candidates knowledge and understanding.
Candidates will need to appear in two optional subjects’ two papers each, one paper on essay and two papers on general studies.
