I have given GATE 2012 in instrumentation engineering and AIR of 871 with a GATE SCORE of 444. I have applied for Control and Automation in NIT Rourkela. Is there any chance for me to get admission at NIT Rourkela?

Congrats for the GATE score. You need to check with the opening of the merit list for NIT. I would recommend you to apply for other NIT's like NIT Trichy, Durgapur, Surathkal, Kurukshetra etc. Also try for Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore. All the best!!
