You need to appear for NDA entrance exam which is conducted by UPSC twice every year. Some of the prominent criteria are:

-The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male.

-Should have either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board. There is no criteria for percentage of marks to apply for NDA.

-Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years of age.

-Should have possessed good physical and mental health.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview, Physical Fitness and Medical Test.
