Different branches of NIT have different closing ranks for general category. If you have caste reservations, u r at an advantage. Least closing rank was 33478 for NIT agartala. If u give info on wat specialisations u r looking at, i can help u wid more specific data.

pl refer old list of 2010-11

normally few students are more intrested in college rather than branch while few cases are vice versa

thirdly it depends on the overall performance of all india level

any way you can compile all these parameters and can get solution of ur problem soon
